Employees’ Health is a Key to the Company’s Success

On September 26th, 2013 in Mytishchi Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare of Moscow Region held a meeting devoted to the theme " Forming a healthy lifestyle of the production employees as the basis of their employment longevity". Holcim took part in the event and presented its experience.

Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare of Moscow Region has invited specialists of the territorial Administration departments, Federal State-Funded Healthcare Institution “Sanitary and Epidemiological Center”, representatives of Ministry of Healthcare of Moscow Region and representatives of business to discuss the question of forming a healthy lifestyle at the production. The meeting took place on September 26th, in the town Mytishchi, located near Moscow, and was dedicated to the 140th Anniversary of Ministry of Healthcare of Moscow Region.

The reporters presented the latest researches in the field of preventive health care of employees, changes in the Legislation, practical advice and the results of the national and local programmes, aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles.

As it was said at the meeting, one third of their lives Russian people spend at workplaces. The health of a person depends on his or her lifestyle approximately at 40%. In this regard, provision of healthy work conditions, disease prevention is a national priority and a topical question.

As for the business, several reports were made by the largest organizations of Moscow Region, such as "Valio Center Odincovo", "Ratep", "Meat Processing Plant Bogorodskiy", “Chemical and Mechanical Plant", "Likinskiy bus factory", "Orekhovo-Bread". Kolomna District presented the cement plant Holcim (Rus) CM.

Anna Avramenko, Head of Corporate Public Affairs, spoke about the activities of Holcim (Russia), aimed at promoting the healthy lifestyle among the employees. Apart from following Russian legislation requirements, the Company initiates its own activities such as “Health Day”, “Non-smoking Day”, “Apples Day” and family activities “Mother, Father, I’m waiting for you at home!”, urging the parents to follow the safety rules at the production for their children’s future.
