Gustavo Navarro is appointed the CEO of Holcim (Russia)

Holcim (Rus) Corporate Public Affairs Department announces that Horia Adrian leaves the position of the CEO Holcim (Russia) for the Area Manager for Eastern and Southeastern Europe, including CIS and Caspian Region. The Company expresses sincere gratitude to Mr. Adrian for his great contribution into development of the business and wishes him success in further career opportunities.

On November 1st, 2012 Gustavo Navarro is appointed the CEO of Holcim (Russia). His responsibility will cover the questions of strategic development of Holcim Group companies in Russia, control of sales and partnership relations development. “Gustavo Navarro’s deep knowledge of construction materials production process and significant experience will help to strengthen the positions of the Company at the Russian market”, - Horia Adrian commented the new appointment.

Gustavo Navarro was born on October 4th, 1962 in Buenos-Aires, Argentine. He graduated from the University of Economics in Buenos-Aires and Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. Gustavo has an Executive MBA. He started his work in 1981 and built his career from financial analyst in AEG-TELEFUNKEN to the CFO in TETRA PAK.

Gustavo has a successful experience in multinational corporations running in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Starting in 2002 as a CFO in Holcim (Serbia), in four years he was appointed the CEO of Holcim (Serbia). The total occupational life in cement industry is more than 10 years.

In his work in Russia Mr. Navarro is intended to “focus at the key aspects – OH&S, customer orientation and further operational work improvement”.

Married, has got 2 children.
